-----Removal of nickel plating from copper
What is the most effective way to remove old nickel plating (early 1900's) from copper?
Lori G [last name deleted for privacy by Editor]- Augusta, GA, USA
Nickel can be removed from copper chemically, Lori. However, proprietary strippers from companies like Metalx (Ronatec.us) [a finishing.com supporting advertiser] are best. If you are a consumer rather than a plating shop, be aware that most plating shops should be able to do this for you.
