Anodizing of Technician's Cases

I am looking for comments on what type of anodize finish would work best on an aluminum Technicians case. This finish must be silver or metallic gray, and of course contribute to the strength, durability and appearance of the case. How about some comments on the hard anodize with teflon penetrant? Would this be a wise choice?

I would appreciate any and all comments.

Hardcoat anodize is an excellent protective coating for aluminum.

Depending on the coating thickness and aluminum alloy, its appearance ranges from stainless steel to charcoal gray or black.

This hard layer is very scratch resistant and durable. However, hardcoating does not increase material strength. In fact, a significant limitation to the use of hardcoat is a reduction in fatigue life. PTFE impregnation reduces sliding friction and improves wear life without dramatically increasing cost.
