Electroless Chromium Deposition
We have identified two new technologies that have been shown, in the laboratory, to be very useful for chrome deposition. One is an electrochemical process with deposition rates 10 to 100 time faster than conventional plating. The other has been used for chrome deposition of between 10 and 20 thousandths of an inch. We are interested in hearing from corporations interested in forming a group with an interest in the commercialization of these technologies. Any interest?Tom Gruber
Did you check for adhesion? Sometimes this fast plating processes for chromium have adhesion problems on steel.

I would plate up some decorative samples on Hull Cell panels, and some heavy deposits (1 or 2 mils) on 3/8" diameter x 6" steel mandrels. and take some to the big chrome plating houses. Most of these people are from the "show me" state. Be prepared to leave the samples for them to look at more closely after you leave.
