Imperv-X Hardcoat Anodize Help: Urgent Parts Search

Summary for imperv-x hardcoat anodize help Discussion

imperv-x hardcoat anodize help is a parts-and-service request for an older hardcoat anodizing system used on high-copper alloys. David A. Kraft of Long Island City, New York says his shop runs an IMPERV-X system and needs rectifier parts, but the original builder, Scionics, has long since gone out of business. He asks for other anodizers using the same system, a qualified service technician, or a surplus unit that could be bought for parts. The thread excerpt does not include technical troubleshooting or a solution, only the request for contacts and sources. The editor notes that the RFQ is outdated but still invites technical replies and says readers may post their own RFQs, while asking for no public commercial suggestions.

RFQ: We run an IMPERV-X Hardcoat anodize system here as one of our many hardcoat processes. It is a special system for coating high copper alloys.

We are in need of parts for the rectifier. The company that built this system, Scionics has gone out of business long ago.

I am looking for:

  • – other anodizers who might use this system & might have a source for parts
  • – or a very good service man.
  • – or perhaps someone has one of these that has been taken out of service & is in storage that we might buy for parts.
  • – anyone that knows of other anodizers who may use this system that I may contact.

Any help would be much appreciated.
