Please Explain Zinc Dichromate Plating

Can someone explain in detail the process of zinc dichromate plating?

I would like to try to do it on some small parts of a restoration and would enjoy trying to learn the process.

Zinc dichromate plating means electroplating with zinc followed by dipping in a chromate conversion coating to discourage and delay the white rusting of the zinc, Ron. So your next step could be to look into zinc electroplating and chromate conversion coating. Good luck.
