-----Safety over Style
Please help with this technical question, I've been considering sending in my stock aluminum ninza rims to be chrome plated, but while researching which co. to send them to, I found an article from an unpublished source that said chrome plating weakens the rim. Is this true, If so, what kind of percentage of weakening are we talking about.
Thanks,

Millions of aluminum rims are chrome plated. I can't picture the mechanism by which chrome plating would weaken them.
