Ready-made test kit for checking SS316?

++++

We have a few SS316 materials fabricated and machined. There is no scope for cutting a sample to check the chemical composition. Also we are not in a position to go for handheld tester to test these materials as they are simply not available at the place of material. Is there any other method by which I can check the material.

Thanks,

Having now seen handheld X-ray fluorescence "scrap sorters", G.Y., I'm sure it's the best way to go, although very expensive -- in excess of $20,000 U.S.

For other less expensive methods such as you seek, please patiently apply the search engine and you will find that the question has already been asked and answered repeatedly. For example, letters 5505, 6060, 16172, 18574, 23766, and 40586 are a good start. Good luck!
