ecognizing that you can not inspect quality into a product, Hill Cross Company has designed a quality system based on process control. Although we continue to perform rigorous final inspection of all plated product, we have, in recent years, incorporated many of the elements of SQC to include the creation of Process Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (PFMEA), Quality Control Plans and computer based statistical analysis of both variable and attribute inspection results. We have our own "in house" analytical laboratory utilizing both classic wet chemistry methods and instrument analysis including Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry. We have "state of the art" X-Ray Fluorescence coating thickness measurement equipment, and the capability to perform numerous mechanical, thermal, and corrosion tests on plated coatings.

Additionally, we operate a fully permitted Waste Treatment system in compliance with all state and federal regulations and managed by a licensed chemical engineer on staff.

These tools give us the ability to control our plating processes, increase productivity, reduce rejects, and lower production costs.

We are presently assessing the capability of our business and quality assurance policies, procedures, and documentation meet the requirements of ISO-9000 and QS-9000.

Our present quality manual, structured to meet the requirements of MIL-I-45208A, MIL-STD-45662A, and MIL-STD-105, is available as a non-proprietary document to any of our active or prospective customers.
