"POWDER COATING"
Powder coating is a paint-like finish which is usually applied by spraying plastic powder on the components, which have been given an electrostatic charge to attract the powder. The parts are then put into an oven which melts the powder into a coating on the parts. This step is usually called "curing".
Advantages of powder coating include that it is thicker than most paints can be applied, and no solvents are needed with their environmental hassles.
