"WEIRD NJ"

April 2, 2005

I just the new issue of "Weird NJ" Magazine and it has some stuff about East Orange in it... Nothing really weird, just about how Bob Dylan wrote his early songs in an apartment on North Arlington Ave. I had heard that before and recognized the building. They also included the lyrics to a song he wrote called "East Orange NJ". It refers to a bar he was playing in. I had heard along time ago, I forget from who , that the bar was "Graneys" in the Doddtown section of E.O. I remember passing it a million times on my way to Star Tavern and always thought, "I can't believe Dylan played there".... Also an article about the sad shape of Upsala College nowadays... I couldn't believe the pictures! Such a waste ...... Anyway, pick up a copy if you can......Patty
