How to keep polished aluminum wheels clean and shiney

Intro / synopsis: Although polishes can get aluminum wheels shiny, keeping them shiny probably requires sealers.

Q. I purchased a set of high polished aluminum wheels for my Fiero. I find that Wenol Auto (blue) [on eBay or Amazon] metal polish works great on getting them clean but they do not stay clean for very long. Is there a product or way to keep them from looking so bad. I was looking into possibly trying liquid glass on them. Has anyone done this?

A. A product called Zoopseal [on eBay & Amazon] will prevent the Al from dulling for a period of 1 - 3 years after you polish them. All you have to do is wipe the rims occasionally. It is a ceramic based surface sealer.

Ed. note: ZoopSeal no longer exists under that name; its inventor now calls the product ShineSeal [on eBay & Amazon].
