Decorative Product Made with Aluminium Die Cast Parts

We are manufacturing locks with satin chrome and satin brass finishes. We are typically using zinc die cast parts and we are looking to use aluminium die cast parts to reduce weight and material cost. On aluminium, we would like to sand blast the parts to get rid of defects and to give a nice texture prior plating. We did a first attempt anodizing brass color and we didn't succeed. What do you recommend to get nice textured chrome and textured brass finishes on aluminium die cast parts? Will the finish perform better than plating on zinc at salt spray test?

You can use electrophoretic coating to product a match of brass like (Brass plating) appearance on aluminum die-cast without problems. For the chrome effect, it is not an exact match but near enough.

Please contact us for details.
