Hard Anodized Coatings




Regarding hard anodic coatings on aluminium. Is there information on what is commercially available and the hardness ranges of these types of coatings.

Hard anodising is available in most larger aircraft maintenance organisations that have electroplating capability. I have a hard anodising tank with the following dimensions 1800x900x1200. The hardness of the coating depends on material type and coating thickness. In most instances the coating abrasion resistance is bordering on that of hard chrome.
