LIFE EXPECTANCY OF POWDER COATED FINISHES IN WATER?

We are a maker of decorative water fountains. We are currently using clear polyurethane powder coat for the copper components of our fountains. What sort of life expectancy should we expect knowing that these components are exposed to water? Is there another material we should be using that will not change the color of our product?
