Activation Process for Silver on Nickel Plating After 24 Hours of Plating Nickel

If a nickel plating is done at one location and silver has to be done the next day on this nickel at another location, how can the activation be done so that there is consistency in silver on nickel?

Dear Kumar,

Go with nickel plated parts into activation bath with current before going into silver bath. Activation bath without current will not be helpful.

Dear Mr Shah,

Try cathodic activation in a 5% Sodium Cyanide Solution or Sodium Hydroxide Solution for about 10 minutes, before normal pickling - plating.
