Standards for Chrome Plating?

Are there any "Standards" for decorative chrome (bright, black and satin) chrome plating finishes on brass?

I think I'd suggest that you start with the MFSA (www.mfsa.org) booklet "Quality Metal Finishing Guide: Nickel Chrome Plating". This is very inexpensive, about $10 or less, and will tell you all you want to know as well as referencing all of the applicable plating and testing standards.
