How to Produce a Verdigris Finish

I see a lot of consumer products today that have an applied finish/treatment over metal. The results are meant to simulate an antiqued product. How can this be duplicated in a small shop environment?

A verdi gris finish can be supplied from most paint and powder coating suppliers. If you wanted to try and produce the effect by yourself I would not recommend it, it is complicated, messy, not cost effective and you would find it very difficult to reproduce the same effect more than once.
