White Anodic Process

I am particularLy interested in the concept of an "off-white" anodic finish. I have heard about such a finish via a jeweller of my acquaintance. I suppose this is not a pigment-based finish, but an anodic-based finish. (perhaps some over-anodised yet stabilised finish?) Please inform.

This process has been existing for a couple of decades. The electrolyte contains titanate.
