Coating glass beverage bottles for better seals

We are developing solvent based plastic coating to be applied on aluminium foil or Polyester film [transparent or metallized] to seal against glass bottles' to provide temper evident seals. However, because of the fact that the surface of the glass bottle's mouth is very hard the seals do not provide fused tear seals. We believe, there are some metal oxide coatings for the glass bottles which improve the surface properties of the glass bottle for providing better seals. We would highly appreciate if some one can throw some light on the subject.
