Hardness in nickel sulfamate plating




we want to know how to increase hardness in nickel sulphamate plating (deposit of thickness 20 microns.) we need 500 vickers. is it possible to get this hardness? please give suggestions.

Yes it is possible to plate Nickel from a Sulphamate solution with 500 HV, contact your seller of additives, he can help you.

Try adding sodium saccharin; anything between 0.25 and 5g/l will give suitably hard deposit. However, you may need to add stress relievers, so speak to your supplier
