Brass clear-coat for marine hardware
i am interesting in finding a Brass clear-coating that I can apply myself to various pieces of boat hardware. it should add only negligible dimension, it should not add noticeable tint or discoloration to polished brass, and it should be durable enough to be handled (e.g. door knobs). any help would be appreciated.

A clear coating which I use with best results for a brass surface is a HI-VEE Lacquer, product from Hempel Marine Paints. This is a acrylic lacquer, can be sprayed and have a very good class of transparent 00000. This coating provide a good protection in marine environment.
