-----Ion Exchange Recovery System for Nickel
Q. Hello, I need to replace our ion exchange recovery system for nickel that runs off our nickel drag-out tank. We are running a decorative chrome plating line.
The vendor of our current system has a new person in the quoting department that doesn't seem to know what he's doing. I've tried to contact other vendors using internet inquiry forms and direct emails and even phone calls but am not hearing back from anyone.
Can someone recommend a good, responsive vendor of these systems?
Here's what I need:
influent: 1 g/L Nickel
effluent (waste): MUST have < 0.5ppm nickel
process flow (influent): ~135 GPH, continuous
piping: Sch 80 CPVC (plating solution is at 145 degrees F)
Pre-filter: 5-micron cartridge
backwash with H2SO4 and/or HCl
footprint (max): 6ft x 4.5ft
I'd really like dual anion beds - one for capture, and one for polishing - to ensure that we can meet the regulated levels in our wastewater permit.

Ted Mooney is retiring but I have several offers to take it over.
We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
