-----Using Copper oxide for electroplating
Q. Can copper oxide or its derivative powder be used to do copper plating? What is the process?

A. Hi Kaushik
Please try to flesh out your question with the full situation. I'm confident that the suppliers of proprietary copper plating solutions could in fact use copper oxide within their manufacturing process if they adapted for it.
I'm also confident that a determined hobbyist could achieve some sort of copper plating onto an object using copper oxide and other chemicals as his plating solution.
But I suspect that it would be a disaster for a specification plating shop to attempt to add copper oxide to their plating solution in lieu of proper copper anodes 🙂
