Eliminate foam in galvanizing line

Q. In the galvanizing line, the input section generates a lot of foam during the brushing to clean the strip. How can this foam be eliminated by turning it into dust? Sinceramente, Thank you very much.

This is a meeting place for camaraderie & sharing, not a free consultancy. So some readers don't engage with anonymous posters.

A. Your question is likely an interesting one, but there's not enough information for good answers. You mention "line" which sounds like it might be a continuous galv strip line? Is that true? And what do you mean by "input section"? Do you mean the chemical pretreatment section? Which part of it? Under all conditions or only some? Which chemical is foaming? How much foam? What colour?
If you add more information to your question you will hopefully get more useful answers.

A. Hi Milton.

'Foming' is a problem in a lot of processes, and there are 'anti-foam' additives for most processes under the sun. Whoever supplies the cleaning process chemistry might be able to advise about anti-foam additives.
