-----Zamac with high porosity; process is not able to cover the pores
Q. What can I do if my process does not manage to cover all the porosity of the ZAMAK part? My process includes two cyanide copper baths (strike and plate) and a satin nickel.

A. Hi Luis.
Sorry, but I can't offer much encouragement. Zamak parts need to be non-porous and free of cold shuts ⇦ huh?. If you can't get quality diecastings I think you would need to vacuum impregnate them before plating.
You won't appreciate the humor at this point, but thread 323/05 relates my experience with a fellow in the position of desperately needing to plate unplateable castings.
