-----Accidentally Put Dechrome in Chrome Plating Tank
Q. Dear sir we are doing chrome plating on rotogravure cylinder.
Last days by mistake we added Dechrome A solution in chrome bath. After that we are facing the issue of side white on cylinder and also hatched inc chrome bathe. What is solution of the problem ...please suggest,

A. Hi Gaurav,
I don't know what "Dechrome A" is, and do not find it in Google. But if it is HCl based, then you have added chlorides to your chrome plating solution.
Thread 56140, "Removing Chloride from Chrome Plating Solution" suggests that you may be able to remove it by dummying, probably followed by silver oxide additions. There is a lot of wisdom and experience evident in that thread, so study it carefully.
