Tri-chrome chloride bath stain

Q. We are getting a stain on the HCD of flat surface parts. Not sure what is causing it, since the Lab results come back saying that everything is balance in the solution. We have a Tri-chrome chloride bath.

A. Have you solved this issue? I also work with tri-chrome ...could the layer of the metal under chrome be too thin, and what you are seeing is metal roughness? From my experience most often problems are coming from underlying layer, so maybe look into this.

Sorry! Finishing.com is temporarily Read-Only.
Ted Mooney is retiring but I have several offers to take it over.
We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
