Thread 4706 offers several thoughts on removal of nickel from copper. You can also search the site for a few more. But the easiest and safest way is to use proprietary strippers developed for the purpose of stripping stripping nickel, such as Metalx (Ronatec.us) [a finishing.com supporting advertiser]
