Heating a galvanizing kettle with lead jacket

Q. Good day.
We have an old wire galvanizing facility.

The zinc kettle has a lead jacket surrounding the zinc.

The heating method is 4 flat flame burners on each side with 2 separate control circuits.

We have damaged a few of the lead jackets in the past.

What will be a solution to try and spare the lead jacket from burning and cracking?

Where must we measure the bath temps in this continuous process?

Sorry! Finishing.com is temporarily Read-Only.
Ted Mooney is retiring but I have several offers to take it over.
We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
