Nickel Free Cold Sealing Process: Promising but Unproven

Summary for nickel free cold sealing process Discussion

Nickel free cold sealing process is the topic of this short thread, where Alaattin TUNA of Sakarya, Turkey asks whether anyone has implemented a cerium-based nickel-free cold sealing process in an anodizing plant and whether it is applicable in practice. In reply, the answerer says that many major suppliers now offer a two-step nickel-free cold sealing process, but does not confirm which versions are cerium based. The response does not report any firsthand plant experience or performance data, and instead invites readers to share their own results. So the thread mainly establishes that nickel-free cold sealing options are commercially available, while leaving the question of cerium-based applicability open.

A. Hi Alaattin. I can see that many of the major suppliers are now offering a two-step nickel-free cold sealing process, but I don’t know which are cerium based.

Hopefully a reader will relate their experience with this process for us.

Luck & Regards,
