Black oxide solution with copper contamination

Q. Hi run a black oxide tank. Can I have copper in it from copper Hooks and wire? Is there any way to remove the copper? It is like ash in the tank that sticks to the parts when coming out of the tank. Have any solutions to fix this problem?
