How to tint headlight metalizing?

Q. Hi
I want to tint car headlight reflectors a blue color.

How can I directly apply tint dye or use a top coat and add tint color in top coat? Also, which type of top coat is used: acrylics, epoxy or automotive top coat clear lacquer?
Which solvent based tint color: acetone, butyl, nitro sprits, ethyl methyl, mek or what ?
I used some of above but after heat by it's own bulb (100 Watts) it's burned out. Any oneguide me briefly?
