-----Flow meters to be used in Tin Electroplating line
Q. Hi all,
Looking for some information for flow meters that can be used in plating line. The reason for this is to measure our water input & water output so we can check with our waste water treatment plant capacity.
Our plating line uses Mains water for rinsing tanks and DI water (2µS/cm) for process tanks, Would anyone have any recommendations for flow meters that they have used that would work successfully at low µS/cm? Most I've been looking at, i.e., ultrasonic, need a minimum of 100 ppm ... not for clean liquids.
Is there anyone who has experience of using them on a plating line with DI tanks?
Any help would be appreciated.

A. Hi Ryan
Probably you can try to search for "turbine flowmeter". They may work in your situation. Small turbine inside the flowmeter rotates proportionally to the liquid flow rate. As you plan to use it for water (not corrosive chemicals) it should be a very wide selection of different flowmeter options.

Sorry! Finishing.com is temporarily Read-Only.
Ted Mooney is retiring but I have several offers to take it over.
We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
