-----Powder Coating Problem: Grinding & Sanding Marks show through
Q. Hi sirs,
Actually we are manufacturers of various sheetmetal items, fabrications. After grinding, sanding, if we do powder coating grinding and sanding marks are visible, even if I do polishing with 6-hole wood polishing disc. Any other tools available for buffing a stainless steel to remove all scratches and grinding marks?
Thanks,

A. We do a lot of powdercoating over galvanized steel. It's all linished (or polished or sanded, depending on language used). We find 80-grit sometimes shows through, 120 grit doesn't.
But for stainless steel I really wonder why you'd powdercoat it? Surely not to protect it? If for the looks of powdercoating, then why use stainless - waste of money.
