Stellite-6 Gets White Patches when Nitriding

Q. We are manufacturing engine valves where the seat portion is deposited with stellite grade-6 material. Nitriding is carried out all over surface at final stage. We are finding white patches of stellite weld portion after nitriding. Cosmetically these white portions are not acceptable. Please suggest how to overcome the white patches.
