Are bullets (projectiles) ever mechanically plated?

Q. I'm Looking for a Unicorn, I think! I have heard rumors about commercial mechanically plated lead bullets (projectiles). But I have never seen one. I would love to see one in person, or failing that a picture would help. My company has been involved in mechanical plating for a third of a century, so I think that if there was such a unicorn I would have seen it.

Hi Tom. I see a patent for mechanical plating of small arms, US5597975, but that doesn't mean it was ever implemented, of course.
