Black patches when continuously casting copper

Q. We get black patches in some places while producing continuous Cast copper rod. While drawing wire it gets breaks from RBD at the point of Black Patches.

Whether these patches are of oil & grease or something else?

What is the reaction of Oil & grease on the surface of Copper rod?
Please explain briefly at the earliest.
