How to bright anneal aluminum bronze

Hi everyone
1. What causes dark layer on the aluminium bronze after polishing and is it possible to bright annealing aluminium bronze blanks?
2. If aluminium bronze comes out of the furnace dirty what compound do you recommend I should use to remove the dark tough stain?
3. What causes discolouring of bronze blanks after polishing? (The blanks look good after polishing but discolor after a minute or more.)
