Inside Bus Duct Painted Black: Important Question, Unclear Answer

Summary for inside bus duct painted black Discussion

Inside bus duct painted black is the core question here, but the thread does not provide a definitive technical answer. Venkat Vinodh K asks why the inside of a bus duct is painted black and whether there is a reason behind it. In reply, the moderator notes that the key issue is whether this is true for all bus duct products from all vendors and in all sizes, or only for one specific example. If it is always black, then there may indeed be a standard reason; if not, the color could simply be a product-specific choice. The discussion ends by inviting more input, so the page mainly highlights the need to confirm whether the observation is universal before drawing conclusions.

Q. Why is it painted black inside of the BUS DUCT? What’s the reason behind it?

? Hi Venkat. That’s interesting; that’s something I never noticed and didn’t realize. Are you asserting that all bus duct, from all vendors, in all sizes, is always painted black on the inside … so there must be a reason? If it is always black, then indeed there must be a reason. But if one particular size of one particular brand happens to be black, asking why would be like me asking why the woman next store bought a black car :-)

I’d love some input as to whether it’s always black; and if it is, then I’d like to know why as well.
