Clear UV coating on digitally imaged polycarbonate

October 27, 2015

Q. I've been brought on board with a company that is planning to put in a screen printing line for the purpose of applying a uv clear coat over digitally imaged polycarbonate sheets, the end use is a cel phone jacket. We've tried screen printing and it seems to work o.k., a little difficult to ensure consistent application and film thickness but we can probably get that under control. I'm wondering if there are any other methods of application that might be an option for us. This would be high speed manufacturing.
