Science project: my elements and the periodic table

February 16, 2014

Q. My 5th grade science class is studying the periodic table. I have to make a diorama for two elements, zinc and gallium. Does anyone have any ideas?

A. Hi Hailey. Theodore Gray turned your class science project into a bestseller .

So if you go to the library, I'll bet the librarian will strongly recommend it. It will give you not just some facts about your elements and the periodic table, but a feel for how to make your diorama interesting. You can probably latch onto one or two things Gray notes about each element that you find intriguing, and then do some further research to expand upon those aspects. Good luck.

A. Of course similar resources exist on the internet as well, for instance webelements.com and the old popular standby Wikipedia.
