Plasma cut edges don't galvanize; how to affordably prepare?
December 26, 2013
Q. Dear All,
We are using structural steel and the quality of materials are S355J2 and we are cutting the plates with plasma. I need to know something about zinc coating after plasma cutting. After plasma cutting, material's cut surface is not accepting the zinc coating, so we are grinding the cutting surface approximately 1 mm and we solved the problem. This method is taking too much time, so we need to find a different way for solve this problem. We tried sand blasting, but galvanizing is broken again. Can anybody help me?
