How to get spangled look with zinc electroplating?

Q. Hello , My name is Bill,
How can I achieve the spangled look to electro zinc plating like old time galvanizing looked? For restoration of older car parts.

A. I don't think there's any way to make electroplated zinc look like hot dipped, particularly the flashy spangle look.

Why not just have your parts hot dip galvanized? It's not an expensive process.
