Delrin"AF",Teflon Impregnated

Q. Hello,

Is Delrin "AF" Teflon Impregnated a material name? It is Delrin AF, and "Teflon impregnated" is just a decription of the material? Or the material is Delrin, and the finishing is Teflon Impregnated?

Thank you in andvance.

A. Hello Vanessa!

Delrin AF is a tradename of Quadrant for their acetal resin that has PTFE fibers in it. Quadrant is not the only company that makes an acetal with PTFE (Teflon) fibers in it, but they are the only ones who can call it "Delrin AF". I'm sure you can find out more at Quadrant's website.

Good luck!
