FED. SUP CLASS 3120/MS14238 finish codes
August 21, 2012
Q. I'm trying to find the finish codes for the different materials listed in the FED. SUP CLASS 3120/MS14238 specification, particularly the finish code represented by the letter E. The bushings we are using need to be machined from 17-4 PH stainless steel so I'm guessing that the "E" finish stands for passivation but I can't find anything that states this in the specification.
