Us28 Anodize Aluminum

Q. We are an aluminum anodizing and steel finishing company that runs into many military and aerospace specifications. I recently had a customer inquire about what he called spec. US28 anodized aluminum. I've searched the internet and have found very little information other than it is a natural anodized finish and it seems to apply to hardware. Can anyone elaborate? I appreciate your help.
