A. Hi Susan.
Chrome plated bar stools are not going to scratch (well, anything “can” scratch, but something tough enough for a truck bumper is tough enough for a bar stool). If possible, try to find a respected brand, as that is your only assurance of quality (by which I mean long term rust resistance).
