-----UBAC copper plating of stainless steel cavity for dark matter experiment
RFQ. We are looking for a shop that can copper plate a 1-meter long, 0.5-meter diameter 316L stainless steel tube and corresponding end-caps. We originally had this done at a local shop via the UBAC (Udylite Bright Acid Copper) process, which seemed to work well but the shop has since gotten rid of the tank large enough to dip the parts. We chose UBAC originally has it has high copper purity and surface leveling which is critical for our microwave requirements at low temperatures (< 4 kelvin, LHe). However we are open to other processes. We are looking for a shop that is relatively close to Livermore, CA (Bay Area would be fine). If interested I can provide more detailed parts drawings.

Ed. note: This RFQ is outdated, but technical replies are welcome, and readers are encouraged to post their own RFQs. But no public commercial suggestions please ( huh? why?).
Sorry! Finishing.com is temporarily Read-Only.
Ted Mooney is retiring but I have several offers to take it over.
We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
