Is diffused nickel-cadmium plating a hazardous material

Q. When nickel-cadmium diffused are used together for plating, Is it still considered to be hazardous? Cadmium is a hazardous material of on its own.

Hi Candy,

Both nickel and cadmium are considered hazardous substances, when diffused they are still hazardous. It really all depends on how you plan to use the coated part whether that is an issue to you or not.

Sorry! Finishing.com is temporarily Read-Only.
Ted Mooney is retiring but I have several offers to take it over.
We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
