How to recover Silver from silicone rubber containing silver
December 14, 2011
Q. Dear Sir,
I have got a piece of silicone rubber which has silver mixed with it in form of powder.
How to recover the silver from this?
If I burn it then danger is that powder will fly away with smoke.
Any alternate method?
Regards,
AK

Find out the chemicals into which silicon dissolves. You will definitely get the answer. Try for benzene. Find it on google search.
